Dungal Information
The Dungal will be held at Bushi Ban International World Headquarters, located at 7770 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas. Pre-Registration and Early Weigh In on Friday 2/20/2009 6pm to 8pm at Bushi Ban World Headquarters. Registration and weigh in on Saturday at Bushi Ban World Headquarters from 8am until the division starts.
Rules meeting at 10 am then the first divisions will get started. Early Registration is appreciated.
Winners of each division will have the option/opportunity to compete for Grand Champion in the Absolute Division.
All Divisions, weight categories and classes are subject to change by way of combining them or dividing them on the day of the event according to registration.
Illegal Techniques
No above the shoulder throws and body slams, striking, punching, elbows, kicking, kneeing, slapping, head butting, or spiking.
No hair pulling, biting, scratching, eye gouging, throat grabbing, ear pulling, fish hooking or heal hooks.
No finger locks, or finger poking
No nerve pressure to groin, eyes or ears
Weight Divisions Starting at 130 lbs all divisions are in 10 lbs increments,
130-139/140-149/150-159 etc... up to 249 lbs, then 250 and over.
Classes/Experience
Master - Over 4 yrs exp.
Advanced/Senior - 2yrs to 4 yrs exp
Intermediate-1yr to 2yrs exp
Beginner 2 - 6 months - 1yr exp
Beginner 1 - up to 6 months exp
Time Limit All grappling bouts will be 5 minutes long, if there is no submission then a 5 minute overtime round will be allotted,
if no submission then the center and side judges will decide the winner by majority vote in showing of hands.
Women Divisions Will be Light Weight, Middle Weight, and Heavy Weight (all weight divisions, and classes will be determined on the day of competition.
Executive Divisions Ages 35 yrs to 40 yrs, 41 yrs to 49 yrs and 50+ - Light Weight, Middle Weight, and Heavy (all weight divisions,
and classes will be determined on the day of competition.
Under 18 Youth Divisions Special Divisions all submission grappling
Ages 11-12, Ages 13-14, and Ages 15-17 All Divisions will be by age, weight and experience.
Equipment Groin Cup and mouth piece
Non-metal or non-hard plastic braces for hip, knee, ankle or wrists
Standard wrestling or grappling shoes
No jewelry
Medical Only basic first aid treatment will be provided at the Dungal
